Contracted Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

As a leading rural retailer with nearly 60 years heritage of serving the farmer’s needs, our farm buildings and fabrication business in Witheridge has an opportunity for an experienced CAD Technician to join the team. The well-equipped workshops fabricate in steel, offering a range of products renowned for their quality, including agricultural buildings and fixed equipment such as feed barriers, gates and handling systems. Your role as a CAD Technician will include using Advanced Steel and 2D solid works package to prepare drawing quotes for manufactured standard and special build products.

What you can bring:

  • You’ll be confident and competent in assisting with the day to day running of the Design Department
  • You will be able to produce accurate quotes for manufactured standard items and prepare production drawings and material lists
  • Have effective communication skills, taking phone enquiries and understanding our customers’ requirements, and developing positive relationships with suppliers to purchase new and existing products and making product enquiries
  • You will be able to continuously review existing manufacturing practices to attain material and labour cost savings.
  • You’ll be able to correctly and efficiently cost finish production jobs.
